Barbour + Orvis Tour
Columbus > Indianapolis > Grand Rapids > Detroit > Cleveland > Pittsburgh > Buffalo > Rochester > Manchester
I had the opportunity recently to work with Barbour & Orvis on an awesome project. The goal was to get people excited and entered to win a fully restored 1995 Land Rover Defender! It was restored in Florida by ECD and given the custom Barbour treatment, including seats and door handles with the tartan pattern. I took the Defender around different Orvis locations and we had hundreds of people come out at every stop to check it out, have a brew and hang with all the dogs! Orvis is very dog-friendly and they partnered with several rescues, shelters and adoption organizations for these events. I learned a lot on this program. #1 was that Orvis and Barbour have a ton of history. Orvis has the most loyal customers I’ve ever seen since my days at Nordstrom. Barbour is right up there with them, with the 5th generation family-owned business, they make clothes for the British Military and the Royal family. Other than a pretty aggressive schedule, this project had no down sides. I got to meet some amazing people, hang with some of the coolest dogs, drive this $124K One-Of-A-Kind Land Rover and they were nice enough to hook me up with nearly 1K worth of gear to wear too! Not a bad gig.
