Cultured Third Wave on the Eastside.
Nestled right across from the Downtown Park is a freshly opened, 1700 square foot shop serving up great brews. This place is called, Third Culture Coffee. I saw their build out on Sprudge and couldn't wait for them to open their doors. I had a chance to experience the shop on their opening day! Coffee by True North, most drinks come in beautiful Bodum glassware. Noticed some fancy gear by St. Anthony's Industries too. Pastries by Macrina Bakery and they proudly sporting a shiny Marzocco Linea. Lots of cool stuff on the menu all accompanied by their country of origin. Some of their offerings include toasts with coconut egg jams, dessert wine flights and drinks inspired from Spain, Japan, Italy, India, Vietnam and more. I was able to try a pour over of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, a Café Bombon, Nitro Cold Brew, their espresso and some Lassi 👌🏽.
I had the chance to chat with the owners Radhika Kapur and Varun Das (AKA Nikk & Bobbyi) for a bit. They were genuine, friendly and had a great story. They told me about their time in India, Australia and now here in the states. They have traveled far and wide and I felt that we had a great understanding between us for that reason. They explained their purpose and their goals seemed to align with providing an exceptional experience to the entire community.
I'm excited to see 3C grow as a business. They truly seem like a place that can cater to the aficionados as well as the first time coffee drinkers. Great space, great people and an inspiring story all in a convenient location. The perfect recipe for a successful shop. I wish them luck and look forward to making 3C one of my "third places" where I can meet with friends, family and business folks.
