This shop is murdered out.
Made it to Anchorhead Issaquah on their first day open. Great lookin shop. Pastries and other sweets made in-house, like their almond milk and syrups. You can find things like brekky sandwiches, sea salt chocolate chip cookies, scones (sweet & savory), raspberry muffins and more. As for their coffee, you'll find a full line up of killer blends and single origin coffees. One of their guys mentioned they will be doing single origin micro-lots from Guatemala soon too. Currently, they have their "Leviathan" on espresso which is a 60/40 Natural Ethiopia Aricha & Brazil. Super good. Seasonal drinks include dark chocolate mochas, Pumpkin "Stuff" Lattes and what seemed to be the popular choice this morning, the Pistachio Matcha Latte.
I discovered Anchorhead when I first tried their cold brew, which is spectacular of course. They have it on tap here, bottled and available as Nitro. Looks like they are offering up some Reds & Whites as well. Wines by Lone Birch, Airfield, Donkey & Goat. Nathan Gray & Spindrift. Excited to try them. Their merch is dope. Picked up an Alternative 50/50 Tee and they have hoodies and coats. All black errrything.
The interior is designed well. Lots of black but lots of natural light too. The island in the middle of the shop is a light wood, which stands out almost as much as their Turquoise 2 group MVP Hydra. Small batch drip available for now but word on the street is that they'll be getting an auto-pour over system in here soon. All in all, glad this place is finally open. Hoped it would open sooner but they had a few issues with the city that delayed the opening. A great little shop, fast wifi, great playlist going and friendly service. Stoked to have an Anchorhead on the eastside now!
